Advocacy Matters

VAAP actively participates with local and federal government agencies and with private groups to influence and shape policy decisions at all level.  VAAP’s Advocacy Committee helps influence and guide decision makers on matters related to the addition treatment and recovery communities.

VAAP also participates as a founding member with the Virginia Recovery Coalition, a proactive, collaborative advocacy partnership devoted to the advancement of legislation to enhance the addiction treatment profession and to improve conditions and treatment for afflicted individuals.
